Golden Hill Community Garden

Location: 2440 Russ Boulevard,
Balboa Park, San Diego, CA 92102

The Golden Hill Community Garden was started in April 2004 after many months of working with the City of San Diego and Balboa Park. The organic garden is located in a once unused and weed covered area that now boasts twenty six carefully tended plots.

In addition to tending their own plots, each gardener is responsible for taking part in communal tasks to keep the garden as a whole healthy. Each month there is a meeting for all of the gardeners to foster education, cameraderie, and problem solving.
