Volunteer to Help Relocate Rare and Valuable Fruit Trees and Shrubs:
Posted January 18th
Here is an exciting opportunity to help our local chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers. As many of you know San Diego CFRG has generously donated fruit trees to school and community gardens for the last two years and will be assisting in another tree give away to community gardens this year through SDCGN. If you can donate some time this month to help them rescue these rare and valuable fruit trees and shrubs please sign up at the link below. CFRG is looking for volunteers to helparrange and move the stock. In addition, suggestions for suitable locations for replanting are also being sought. It is also a great opportunity to learn about the wide variety of fruit that can be grown in San Diego. Click here to sign up

Hello!
I am currently working on an organic farm in San Diego as well as doing an urban farming internship at City College. I am just very interested in agriculture and gardening and want to volunteer my time helping either create or manage a community garden. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi I live in North Park and have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get a garden started. Several sites I have approached are not available for garden space. Anyone else interested in helping out? I have the contact info of someone who works for the city who has been extremely helpful with giving me info about different locations. Ideally somewhere around 30th and University… Thanks!
